UBUNTU!!
Congratulations! Your painting, "Ubuntu" I Am Because We Are, was selected TWICE as part of the FAV15% (jury's favorite 15% of the entries) in the July 2023 and August 2025 BoldBrush Painting competition.
"Ubuntu" - I am because we ARE! Original is an oil on gold leaf panel, 11" x 14".
UBUNTU is a way of life. An archeologist in Africa told a group of young kids that he put a basket of fruit by a tree and when he said "run" the first person to get to the tree won the basket! He said run. They all held hands and ran to the tree and began happily eating the fruit! He asked one of the kids why they did that. The child replied:
"Why would we want just one person to be happy when we all can be happy"!!!
Painted in colors of the rainbow for us all to enjoy!
BE HAPPY!

"My new models from Fiji" These gurls were so much FUN!
The people on the islands are so HAPPY. I fell in love with everyone of them.
More Compliments!
"Your work shows a great deal of self expression and character, and I appreciate this very much. There are very few people of today who care to go beyond the norm...to just be themselves. I applaud! " Ron Elstad
"September McGee has a memorable name and an even more distinctive painting style. This self-taught artist hails from Laguna Beach, California and is a central figure in American Impressionist art. She displays a passion for figurative subjects and landscapes, often painting women drinking in cafes, ballerinas, and other dancers or musicians with exuberant brush strokes."

"Congratulations September for your latest well-deserved honors for your exquisite work!
Your rich manner of implying and revealing so much internal emotion, external conditions
and sense of the moment in a place is masterful! " Guy Joy
"I think you are my favorite artist of all time!! Your subjects all speak to me...dancers (ballet girls), women with wine, musicians, and walking in the rain...all have meaning and purpose to me..."
Debbie Hopper
"Your museum series is captivating. This is my own theory but I've seen so much art that whatever inspiration started the process of paint on canvas just doesn't come through on the finished product. Yours always does. I love the counterplay between the museum-goer, the painting, and then the fourth dimension, me as an outsider peering into a painting within a painting." Best, Joel
